WHEAT RIDGE, CO – One person died, and three others were sent to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 involving a semi-truck on Saturday, 9News reports.
Around 2:40 a.m., a semi-truck collided with four other vehicles, causing it to overturn. One person succumbed to their injuries, and three others were sent to the hospital. One of the injured individuals was treated for critical injuries. Their current physical conditions have not been disclosed.
Officials shut down the area for over 12 hours to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process.
Police are working to determine the events leading up to the crash.
