FORT LUPTON, CO – One person was sent to the hospital after a car-train collision in Fort Lupton on Thursday, according to KDVR.

The crash happened before 5:30 a.m. at County Road 10 and South Rollie Avenue. Authorities did not specify the events leading to the crash, but did confirm that one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. The impact of the collision also revealed a blue Dodge Challenger with rear-end damage.

The injured person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

For the time being, County Roads 19, 8, and 6 were blocked because of the crash. Railroad crews worked to separate the vehicles to allow cars to pass.
