GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO – Two 13-year-old boys died and six people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on I-25 South on Thursday.
The collision took place on I-25 South near Orchard Road, 9News reports. Greenwood Village police responded to the vehicle accident before 7:00 p.m. The boys, who were vehicle passengers, gave in to their injuries at the scene.
Officials did not release the boys’ names but said they were Prairie View Middle School students. One boy was from Commerce City and the other from Henderson.
Authorities shut down the area so crews could clean up the hazmat spills. Drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors in the collision.
