DENVER, CO – At least one person died early Sunday, May 18, as a result of a pedestrian versus vehicle collision in downtown Denver, according to the Denver Police Department.
The fatal incident occurred in the area of West Colfax Street and Speer Boulevard, in the city’s Golden Triangle neighborhood. It was first reported at about 4:49 a.m.
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances behind the crash, but all eastbound lanes of Colfax Street were blocked at the intersection, and motorists were asked to avoid the scene.
