Bicyclist hurt after colliding with vehicle in Denver’s Barnum area

DENVER, CO – A bicyclist was left in serious condition after colliding with a vehicle in the Barnum neighborhood on Thursday. 

Denver police said the crash took place before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of West 1st Avenue and Newton Street.

At the time of the reporting, police told drivers in the area to expect delays as crews worked to clean up the debris from the crash and restore safe road conditions. 

Officers did not confirm whether anyone was taken to a hospital, nor have they specified how the collision unfolded.
