DENVER, CO – A bicyclist was seriously hurt after getting hit by a vehicle west of Cheesman Park Thursday, Denver police reports.
TRAFFIC: #DPD is investigating a crash involving a Motorist and a bicyclist at 7th and Emerson. One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained on scene. The intersection is closed, alternate routes advised. pic.twitter.com/TaZBaTw3qQ
The crash happened before 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Emerson Street and 7th Avenue. Medics were also summoned to the scene and transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and shut down the intersection. At this time, they have not reported any reopening of lanes or specified the events that led to the crash.
