DENVER, CO – Denver police are investigating the details behind a hit-and-run collision that happened along Washington Park’s Smith Lake Monday night.
Officers were in the area investigating a hit & run traffic crash involving two motorists. No serious injuries reported. Run vehicle and one occupant located after fleeing on foot. No serious injuries reported.
The crash took place around 8:30 p.m. in the area of South Downing Street and East Virginia Avenue. One driver crashed into a second vehicle and immediately fled the scene on foot.
Officers found and apprehended the suspect. At this time, however, police made no mention of any charges.
Individuals who were struck by the hit-and-run suspect were spared from serious injuries.
