DENVER, CO – A driver was cited for careless driving after causing a deadly moped accident in Capitol Hill Saturday, Denver police said.

According to the police department’s preliminary investigation, the driver was turning left from eastbound 11th Avenue onto Lincoln Avenue when they struck the moped scooter rider.
The moped scooter rider died from their injuries a short time later. Officers shut down at least one lane to accommodate the flow of traffic.
