WESTMINISTER, CO – Minor injuries were sustained in a seven-vehicle accident that happened at westbound U.S. 36 and Church Ranch Boulevard Monday.
Westminster police first announced the collision at 8:13 a.m. and confirmed crews shut down all of the westbound lanes so they could remove the impacted vehicles and clean up debris from the crash. Despite the closures, drivers could still pass the accident scene by taking the right shoulder.
TRAFFIC ALERT | #WPD is investigating a crash on US 36 WB at Church Ranch Blvd involving 7 vehicles. Minor injuries reported. The westbound lanes are blocked and traffic is being directed to use the right shoulder to pass. @WestyFire is also on scene.
Officers have not confirmed the number of people who were injured nor disclosed the exact cause of the collision.
