AURORA, CO – A female motorcyclist died from her injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle crash that happened at the northbound I-225 and Smith Road connector on Friday.
Aurora Police said the collision happened before 3:00 p.m. and involved four vehicles. The motorcyclist, who was initially left in serious condition, was rushed to an area hospital where she later died.

Officials have not released the victim’s name nor disclosed exactly how the crash happened. By 3:25 p.m., officials closed all northbound lanes. During the temporary closures, officials told drivers to use 17th Place as an alternative route.
By 4:41 p.m., officers reopened all northbound lanes.
