DENVER, CO – Officials were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision on eastbound I-270 past York Street on Wednesday, according to Jayson Luber.
Luber, from Denver 7 Traffic, first reported the crash at 5:56 a.m., saying it happened in the left lane. One black car was significantly damaged, while a red SUV in front of it did not appear to have sustained any damage.
Here we go… looks like a new minor crash on EB 270 just past York. They are in the left lane. Slowing from I-76 and growing to I-25.
Traffic delays built up and could be seen towards I-76 and I-25. During that time, drivers were encouraged to use southbound I-25 to eastbound I-70 as an alternative route.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
