DENVER, CO – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after getting hit by a vehicle south of Durham Park Sunday night, Denver police said.

The collision happened after 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thompson Court and also warranted a response from EMS crews. After arriving, an ambulance transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment.
It’s unclear if the driver stayed at the scene and will be facing criminal charges.
Officers told drivers in the area to expect delays and encouraged them to seek alternative routes during the investigation period.
