DENVER, CO – Two pedestrians lost their lives after they were struck by a driver along Paco Sanchez Park Saturday, Denver Police said.

The collision happened at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of southbound Federal Boulevard and 14th Avenue. After arriving, officers shut down southbound Federal starting at 14th Avenue and ending at West Holden Place for the scene clearance process. Officers initially said the deceased victims were riding electric scooters but later confirmed they were actually pedestrians.
The driver remained at the scene. No charges were announced at this time. The events leading to the crash are unclear at this time.
