THORNTON, CO – A 17-year-old boy who was fleeing from Thornton police died after crashing into several vehicles west of Valente Lake Wednesday.

A police officer tried to pull over the teenage driver for speeding. The teenager would not listen, which prompted a police chase that came to an end at the intersection of 104th Avenue and McKay Road, where the collision occurred.
The teenager died at the scene.
Officers started an investigation and do not have additional information at this time.
