LAKEWOOD, CO – Lakewood police booked two men into jail on Tuesday after a street racing-turned fatal-crash that happened on Thursday, Nov. 13.
Denver 7 said the collision occurred at the intersection of South Kipling Parkway and West Mississippi Avenue. The two men claimed they were racing against each other while driving and collided with another vehicle.
Two people from the other vehicle died, and three were sent to the hospital. The victims were identified as 26-year-old Demi Iglesias and 28-year-old Dalton Smith.
The two men, who are father and son, turned themselves in to the police. They have been identified as 65-year-old Gregory Mark Giles and 26-year-old Bryce Anneaus Giles.
At this time, it appears that the Giles’ were charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, reckless driving, and engaging in a speed contest.
