News UPDATE: Pedestrian’s life claimed in crash near Rude Park

DENVER, CO – A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle south of Rude Park has succumbed to fatal wounds Thursday afternoon, Denver Police confirmed.

The crash was reported before 12:30 p.m. at the West 10th Avenue and Federal Boulevard intersection. Police announced the fatality at 2:09 p.m. 

Denver Police have not disclosed the victim’s identity but did say their name will be released by the office of the medical examiner pending notification of next of kin. 

The driver remained at the scene. There have been no mentions of charges at this time. 

The north and southbound lanes were closed temporarily and later reopened. 

The circumstances leading up to this crash are under investigation.
