DENVER, CO – According to an update from 9News, Denver police believe the suspect who was responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash on South Irving Street was driving a pickup truck.
The pedestrian was believed to have been hit by a white 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck while they were crossing the intersection of South Irving Street and West Evans Street on Tuesday. Denver police said the collision happened around 5:15 p.m. and the pedestrian died from their injuries at the scene.
The pickup truck driver did not render aid and fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival, and was believed to have suffered front-end damage. Officials shut down Evans Avenue along eastbound Julian Street for the scene clean-up process and investigation.
