DENVER, CO – A driver lost their life to a fuel tanker truck crash that occurred on the Yale Avenue bridge on Thanksgiving Day, Denver7 reports.
The truck driver crashed their truck into the bridge’s retaining wall around 1 p.m. on Thursday, which resulted in fuel being spilled on the road. Officials shut down the area for several hours to allow hazmat crews to clear the area.
Police declared the driver dead at the scene. Regional Transportation District’s E Line was temporarily shut down as officials cleaned up debris from the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
