DENVER, CO – One person was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash that happened along Barnum Park on Labor Day, Denver police said.

Police said the hit-and-run crash took place after 5 a.m. at the intersection of Federal Boulevard and West 6th Avenue. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers and EMS crews arriving.
Upon arrival, medical personnel transported one person to a hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury.
Officers closed the northbound portion of the intersection temporarily so crews could clean up debris from the crash.
Police are continuing to investigate all details that led to the collision.
