AURORA, CO – Aurora Police booked a man into jail after a crash near the Aurora Hills Golf Course on Friday, CBS News reports.
The incident unfolded around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Peoria Street. It was there that Aurora police tried to conduct a traffic stop. The male driver refused to pull over and drove away.
Police did not initiate a pursuit, but did find that same driver in the area of East Alameda Avenue & South Peoria Street, where they crashed into another vehicle.
The driver attempted to leave, but could not due to his physical condition.
Police took the driver into custody, and EMS crews transported him to a hospital for an evaluation of injuries before he was taken to jail.
Another occupant from the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
