DOWNTOWN DENVER, CO – A pedestrian lost his life after he was struck by a hit-and-run suspect at the intersection of 16th Street and Market Street on Sunday.
According to Denver7, the collision happened after 2:15 a.m. Preliminary details show that the suspect had crashed into the gate arm of a parking garage on 15th Street. He proceeded to lose control of his red pickup truck and crashed into an electronic kiosk.
The kiosk then hit a pedestrian, and the pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene.
The suspect was later apprehended and arrested. He was identified as Milton McBride.
During a search, investigators found a bag of cocaine in McBride’s front left side pocket of his pants.
Blood was later withdrawn from McBride at Denver Health Medical Center.
