CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, CO – Eight people were hospitalized following a 70-vehicle collision on I-70 East in Clear Creek County on Tuesday, 9News reports.

The incident happened 50 miles outside Denver.

Colorado State Patrol described the crash as a pile-up, saying 19 people were evacuated for injuries. Eight out of those 19 people were sent to a hospital following a crash.

The cause of the collision is being determined.
