PINE, CO – Two people were sent to the hospital after a head-on wreck that occurred on U.S. 285 in Pine on Saturday, Denver7 reports.
A Jeep SUV and a Ford SUV collided head-on around 10 a.m. Elk Creek Fire and EMS crews were dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m. Upon arrival, medics transported the Jeep driver, an 18-year-old man, and a passenger from the Ford to a hospital.
First responders said the Ford passenger was set to receive treatment for a broken finger, while the Ford driver was spared from injuries.
The 18-year-old man’s current physical condition is unknown.
Authorities shut down the area for several hours to accommodate the flow of traffic.
