THORONTON, CO – A 34-year-old man was killed as a result of a shooting and crash that happened in Thornton on Sunday, CBSNews reports.
The incident unfolded when the 34-year-old man allegedly tried to break into several vehicles and tried to leave in a pickup truck, when he was shot at.
The 34-year-old man lost control of the truck and crashed into several parked vehicles. Police conducted CPR on the man prior to EMS’ arrival.
Upon arrival, ambulance personnel rushed the 34-year-old man to a hospital, where he later died.
Police believe the shooting suspect is a 23-year-old man. They took him into custody and arrested him, and he was later released.
Police do not believe the men knew each other.
