News: Police arrest teen suspect after injury crash that damaged Aurora home

AURORA, CO – Aurora Police arrested a 13-year-old male suspect after he reportedly caused a crash that damaged an Aurora home and injured one person on Friday, CBS News said.

Police were dispatched to the 1101st block of North Jamaica Street around 9 a.m. They arrived to find a significantly damaged home and were told that the 13-year-old had allegedly crashed a vehicle into the home and then fled the scene.

The vehicle struck two women, one of whom was seriously injured. EMS crews transported her to a hospital for treatment, and confirmed the other woman was uninjured.

Police located the teen suspect and said he will face hit-and-run charges that resulted in “serious bodily injury and careless driving resulting in bodily injury.”

The brick-style home was left with a wide gaping hole. The structural integrity of that home was not revealed, and it’s unclear if the home occupants were displaced.
