News UPDATE: Driver released from hospital after crash that damaged Littleton gas station

LITTLETON, CO – A car driver, who was involved in a collision that damaged the QuickTrip gas station last month, has been released from the hospital.

The 9News team said the collision happened on March 12, and the car driver was released from the hospital just a few days later.

The Backstory: The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. off Belleview Avenue and S. Zuni Street. Police determined that a truck driver experienced a brake failure, which caused them to crash into a car.

The force of the collision then caused the aforementioned car to plow into the gas station, which pinned them against the wall.

Police and Good Samaritans were able to free the pinned occupant before EMS personnel and fire crews arrived.

The truck driver was also injured but refused medical attention.

The five employees and 25 customers inside were not injured and were able to evacuate the building safely.
